• Export the RMAP (root map) resource from your hacked *.msstyles
• Change the (Unicode) name property to something other than "Aero" (e.g. "Xxxx")
• Re-add the RMAP into your *.msstyles
• Open all *.msstyles.mui and change the string resource 111 (e.g. "Default" to "My Style")

But if you change this property, you cannot use the Control Panel to apply this Visual Style (it contains a lot of hard-coded stuff that depends on this property - it will disable composition and transparency if you would apply it...).
